1. Respect consent and boundaries
Start conversations respectfully. Do not pressure someone to reply, meet, share private information, send gifts or join a video call.
Stop contacting someone who declines, blocks you or asks you to stop.
2. Prohibited content and behavior
Do not post illegal content, sexual exploitation, threats, hate, harassment, fraud, scams, gambling promotion, malicious links or content involving minors.
Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent your age, solicit money, publish private information or use SameWave for unsolicited commercial promotion.
3. Profiles and messages
Profiles and messages must be authentic, relevant and safe. Content may be rejected or removed when it violates these Guidelines or creates a material safety risk.
Never share passwords, verification codes, banking details or identity documents with another user.
4. Reporting, blocking and appeals
Blocking ends direct interaction and hides the blocked account where applicable. Reporting sends the selected concern for review.
Enforcement may include a warning, content removal, feature restriction, suspension or account closure. Eligible restrictions may be appealed in the Safety Center.
5. Meeting safely
Keep early conversations in the app, tell someone you trust about meeting plans, meet in a public place and arrange your own transportation.
Contact emergency services if you believe anyone is in immediate danger.
